03रास्ता

Two to four years on the floor, with at least one as an assistant manager.
Take a diploma or advanced diploma in retail management — the step up is operations, finance and people, not selling.
Learn to read a P&L and name the three lines you can actually move.
Build a track record of developing someone else into your old role.
Be willing to take a smaller or harder store first; turnaround stores promote faster.

04पात्रता

Graduate preferred. Typically 3–5 years of retail experience including supervisory responsibility.

05कौशल

P&L ownership: You are measured on profit, not turnover — the difference is your job.
Recruitment and retention: Attrition on a floor team costs more than any promotion you run.
Shrinkage control: Shrinkage comes out of the same line as your bonus.
Data-led decisions: Conversion and ATV tell you whether the problem is traffic or selling.
Standards under pressure: Any store looks good on a quiet Tuesday.
Upward reporting: An area manager backs the manager who explains the number before being asked.
