What is a retail management course?
A retail management course teaches you how a store actually runs and makes money: buying and merchandising, store operations, stock control, customer service, visual display, staffing and the numbers behind all of it. At AORE it is a job-oriented professional certification rather than a degree, built around what employers ask for at interview.
What are the best retail management courses after 12th?
After 12th, start with the three-month Certificate in Retail Management (₹35,400 + GST) or move straight to the six-month Diploma (₹53,100 + GST) if you want store-management responsibility sooner. Both are open with no prior experience. Typical first roles are Store Executive, Visual Merchandiser and Inventory Assistant.
What types of retail management courses does AORE offer?
Three levels. Certificate runs three months, Diploma six months, Advanced Diploma eleven months. Diploma and Advanced Diploma also have fast-track routes — three months and four and a half months respectively. Across six subject areas there are 37 named qualifications, from Visual Merchandising to Retail Analytics to Luxury Management.
What subjects are covered in the retail management course?
Eight: Introduction to Retail and Retail Strategy; Merchandise Planning and Buying; Store Operations and Inventory Management; Retail Customer Service Management; Store Layout and Visual Merchandising; Retail HR and Staffing; Retail Location Planning; and Retail Analytics with Omni-Channel Retail.
Are retail management classes available online?
Yes — the programmes are delivered fully online, with live sessions three days a week, recorded lectures you can revisit, case studies and assignments. Instruction is in English and Hindi. You can study while working; most of our students do.
How long does a retail management course take?
Certificate: three months. Diploma: six months, or three on the fast track. Advanced Diploma: eleven months, or four and a half on the fast track. The fast track covers the same syllabus at a higher weekly commitment — it is shorter, not lighter.
What is the fee for the Diploma in Retail Management?
₹53,100 plus 18% GST, which is ₹62,658 in total. That covers live online classes, course material, résumé development, career planning and placement support. Instalments are available at 0% interest through Bajaj FinServ, JODO Flex, Dili Loans or AORE's own self-financing plan.
What career opportunities follow a retail management course?
Retail Store Manager, Visual Merchandiser, Merchandise Manager, Inventory Controller, Retail Operations Executive and E-commerce Operations Specialist are the usual first destinations. Employers named in our placement work include Reliance Retail, DMart, Lifestyle, Amazon, Flipkart, Tata Trent and Aditya Birla Fashion.
What is the average salary after a retail management course?
AORE publishes a range of ₹4.2–7.5 LPA for fresh retail management graduates. Entry-level in-store roles on our job board run ₹20,000–₹30,000 a month, and store manager roles ₹40,000–₹80,000. What you earn depends on city, brand and format more than on the certificate itself.
Does AORE provide placement assistance?
Yes — placement assistance, run with AOne HR Services. That means résumé building, interview preparation, career counselling and introductions to hiring brands, through a five-step process from pre-placement orientation to joining. It is assistance, not a guarantee of selection; no training institute can honestly promise the latter.
0212 questions
Once you are a student
Does AORE guarantee placement?
No. We provide placement assistance and interview opportunities — orientation, résumé screening, aptitude tests, technical and HR interview preparation, and introductions to hiring partners. Selection is the employer's decision. Any institute that guarantees a job is not being straight with you.
Can I apply before my final results are out?
Yes, provisionally. You will need to submit your mark sheets within the stipulated time; if they are not received, the admission is cancelled and the fee is not refunded at that stage. Send copies, never originals.
Can I change my course after enrolling?
Yes. Apply in writing within 15 days of admission. Fees may differ between courses, and any difference is payable or adjustable at the point of transfer.
How do I apply?
Apply online. The form takes about ten minutes, saves as you go, and can be resumed from a link we email you. You will need your date of birth, highest qualification and address, plus mark sheets and two photographs at the document stage.
Is course material provided?
Yes — course material is provided as a soft copy PDF, sent by email along with your class schedule after admission is confirmed.
Are AORE programmes degree programmes?
No. AORE programmes are job-oriented professional and business-administration certifications. They are not degrees and are not affiliated with UGC, AICTE or DEC. They are industry-recognised certification programmes intended to build skills and strengthen a professional résumé. If you need a UGC-recognised degree, this is not that — and we would rather tell you now.
How can I pay the fee?
Online by UPI, card or net banking, or in instalments at 0% interest through Bajaj FinServ, JODO Flex, Dili Loans or AORE self-financing. Instalments are due on or before the 2nd of each month, with a ₹500 late fee after that.
How often are the online classes?
Live online classes run three days a week, with recordings available afterwards so a missed session is not a lost one.
How are results announced?
Results are published in your student dashboard and sent to your registered email address.
What is the medium of instruction?
English and Hindi. Sessions, material and support are available in both, and you can switch between them.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Yes, within seven calendar days of enrolment, provided you have not accessed or downloaded course materials. Registration fees, administrative charges, accreditation fees and any shipped physical material are non-refundable, as are counselling or placement services once started. Approved refunds are processed within 45 business days. If AORE cancels a course, you are refunded within 14 business days. You may also transfer once to a future batch within six months.
When do I get my ID card and certificate?
Your student ID card is issued within two weeks of admission. The certificate is issued on successful completion, once all dues are cleared — a hard copy by courier or registered post, and a soft copy by email. Every certificate carries a number that anyone can verify on this site.
0310 questions
Logistics and supply chain
Is the supply chain qualification recognised?
It is an industry-recognised professional certification, not a university degree, and it is not UGC, AICTE or DEC affiliated. It is designed to be recognised by employers hiring for logistics and supply chain roles, and it prepares you for the CSCP and CLTD professional examinations.
Can I study while working full time?
Yes. Classes run three days a week and are recorded. Most students on this track are already working in warehousing, logistics or store operations.
Who is eligible for the Advanced Diploma?
Graduates in any stream. No prior supply chain experience is needed. Credits from the AORE certificate or diploma transfer into the advanced diploma, so you can step up without repeating material.
Is placement guaranteed after this course?
No. Placement assistance is provided, and many students are placed within three to six months of completing. Selection is always the employer's decision.
How does this differ from a university supply chain programme?
It is shorter, cheaper and built around what a hiring manager checks for. A university programme gives you a degree and a broader academic base; this gives you the working knowledge and the software exposure for a specific set of roles, in eleven months rather than two years.
Is GST included in the fee?
No — 18% GST is charged on top of every published fee. The Advanced Diploma at ₹76,700 comes to ₹90,506 including GST. Every fee on this site is shown both ways so there is no surprise at checkout.
Can I upgrade from Certificate to Advanced Diploma later?
Yes. Credits are transferable between AORE levels, so a certificate completed now counts toward the diploma or advanced diploma later. You pay the difference rather than the full fee again.
What software will I learn?
ERP fundamentals, advanced Excel, warehouse management system concepts, forecasting tools, and an introduction to SAP and Oracle. The emphasis is on being useful in a system on day one, not on certification in any single product.
Is the fast-track version harder?
It covers the same syllabus in less time, so the weekly commitment is roughly double. It suits people who can study intensively for a defined period. If you are working six days a week, the standard duration is usually the better choice.
How do I enrol?
Apply online, choose your programme and payment plan, and complete payment. A counsellor contacts you within 24 hours to confirm your start date and send your schedule and material.
